Shelley Cooper was a 1997 Golden Heart finalist in the long contemporary category. That manuscript sold to Silhouette Intimate Moments and was published in 1998 as MAJOR DAD. Subsequently, Shelley has sold four more books to Silhouette Intimate Moments. A graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. in accounting, in her life prior to writing, Shelley worked as a CPA. She is also a past treasurer of Pennwriters, Inc., a Pennsylvania statewide writing organization. She lives in Pittsburgh with her husband, two children, and one very spoiled golden retriever.
